We need Physical Distancing not Social

The Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic is a major health crisis affecting the people worldwide. This pandemic is already a suffering for many with present stats as 4.2 million cases and 0.29 million confirmed deaths worldwide. Such severe outbreaks which suddenly change the lifestyle of people are associated with issues like social and emotional isolation of masses, and may cause severe mental health issues. Thus there is an immediate need  to guide  them with proper  personal, emotional, and social support. Studies suggests that symptoms of fear, anxiety, depression and stress are very frequent psychological reactions to the Corona Virus pandemic.

Here we are discussing few points to make you a better version of yourself during lockdown.

1.Don't Panic

The first and most important thing to stay away from stress and anxiety is just to not panic. Panic will eventually just give you stress and more stress. Don’t focus on things that you can’t control. Keep yourself focused on things you can control as washing your hands, staying at home, avoiding gathering and all the precautionary measures that are told by the government and public health workers.

As we all know how the deadly virus spreads and to break the chain of virus, we must keep social distance from one another. During these days of social distancing, people often feel higher levels of stress, anxiety and mood swings and these are completely common. Feeling of loneliness is the worst feeling that most of the people in the world are facing which leads to mental illness like depression, anxiety and it can also affect your physical health. That’s why it is important to stay in touch with people, to stay connected with friends.

3.Make a follow Routine

Try to make a routine and stick to regular sleep, meals, getting ready in the morning, work and so on. Many people are working from home and that makes it a bit difficult for people to be productive and dedicate their time. You can try to set your working hours so that it won’t get hard for you.
